Michael Moskowitz, Esq., is a dedicated attorney with a versatile and multidisciplinary background in civil litigation and family law, bringing compassionate and strategic advocacy to The Sklavos Law Group, PC. Admitted to the New York State Bar since 2014, Michael is committed to providing client-centered representation to individuals and families navigating divorce, custody, support, and other family law challenges in the New York metropolitan area.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from City University of New York School of Law in 2011. He was a Charles H. Revson Public Interest Fellow, founded the Health Law Society, served as an elected Student Government Representative, and participated in a clinic focused on Community and Economic Development and Nonprofit Law. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University and briefly attended medical school. This scientific and medical foundation provides valuable insight in family law cases involving health issues, child welfare, or related personal matters.

Since 2014, Michael has maintained an active general practice as Managing Attorney of his own law office, handling a wide range of civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice, real estate, contract disputes, and wills and trusts. He has gained significant experience in family law matters, including divorce, child custody and visitation, and support issues, while working with small firms handling cases from inception through resolution. In early 2026, he further strengthened his litigation skills as an associate attorney at a small firm in Great Neck, where he managed a sizeable caseload and conducted motion practice and discovery in construction law matters.

Additional professional experience includes service as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the County of Kauai, where he managed cases from screening through trial preparation, as well as multiple legislative roles in the Hawaii State House of Representatives, including as Legislative Attorney, committee clerk, and research analyst, where he drafted legislation and analyzed complex policy issues. Michael also possesses extensive experience in document review and e-discovery for complex civil litigation.
