ALEXANDER E. SKLAVOS is admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States Federal Courts. Mr. Sklavos received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Union College and his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law (1996) where he was placed on the Dean's List and received the Clinician of the year award from that institution's Elder Law Clinic. Mr. Sklavos was formerly a clerk to Justice Thomas Demakos of the New York State Supreme Court.
He is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association, where he sits on the Board of Directors. Mr. Sklavos serves on the Matrimonial Law Committee, Community Relations Committee, Real Property Committee and Surrogates Court Committee, is Co-Chair of the Student Mentoring Committee and is the former Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee. Mr. Sklavos is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association Grievance Committee which reviews complaints filed against Nassau County Attorneys. By remaining involved with various Bar Associations and working towards fostering good will in the local community, Mr. Sklavos is able to better serve the firm's clients. He is also an adjunct professor of Touro College, instructing in Business Law and Real Estate Law and recently ran for Supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay.
CONCENTRATION: Mr. Sklavos' emphasis is in Matrimonial and Family Law, Real Estate Litigation, General Litigation, Real Estate, Landlord and Tenant Law (Commercial and Residential), Guardianships and Estate Planning.
